This is a further expanded explanation from the steps taken by my friends who survived CoVid-19
the story is on ReshaDollyPrincess blog:
All stated solutions are taken in moderate and controlled amounts:
1. Vomiting and Diarrhea
Solution
a. Rehydration and Isotonic Drinks - Proven studies and researches of how oral solutions helps adults & kids rehydrate with the use of commercially available rehydration or sports drinks

During Inflammatory and Infectious Diarrhea, disruption of the epithelium due to viral or microbial cause triggers diarrhea. The destruction of the Epithelium would cause the discharge of serum and blood into the lumen, as well as lowered water absorption. Thus, resulting in excess sodium, water, and electrolytes.
b. For vomiting, Salted biscuits or corn chips - it has been recommended even to pregnant women who experience nausea and vomiting to try saltine crackers as emetics (not on excessive amounts, moderate amounts) and help prevent hypokalemia(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vomiting)(https://www.mothermag.com/morning-sickness/) (https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/242008-overview)
For diarrhea, Salt, water, and sugar helps avert diarrheal deaths according to WHO (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-diarrhoea-children/salt-sugar-and-water-avert-diarrhea-deaths-who-idUSTRE5294WH20090310).
2. Coughing
a. Menthol candies and throat anti-irritants
b. Vicks or alcamphor rub spread on neck region
c. Honey Calamansi Ginger Tea
Due to several stimuli in the respiratory system, coughing is most often felt with Covid-19 as an airway defense, Menthol or throat anti-irritants is considered anti-tussive and can reduce coughing. As said, this is the body's self-defense to avoid any irritants to your respiratory system, coughing is good but, if pain on the throat is experienced due to this, some anti-irritants may be used.
According to the research, the moderate amount of the cooling sensation from the vapor of the menthol helps to reduce the sensitivity to the nasal irritation by the acetic acid, and enhances sensitivity to TPRA1 agonist allyl isothiocyanate.(

3. Difficulty of Breathing
a. Vicks or Alcamphor
Same explanation as above on coughing.
b. Hot bath
Hydrotherapy since ancient times helped with most ailments and scientific evidence support this claim. In basic physiology, whenever a person is a dyspnea caused by obstructed airways either due to inflammation or phlegm, the exchange of oxygen is impaired or hypoxemia occurs. The application of temperatures in certain degrees above 25 degrees celsius shows an increase in oxygen consumption for respiratory, decongests chest congestion

c. Vapor therapy or Suob
-widely used as home remedy to clear, soothe and open the nasal passages. The warm moist air helps loosen the mucus in the nasal passages, throat and the lungs. (https://www.healthline.com/health/steam-inhalation)
4. Fever
a. Ice packs on the forehead or cold towels
To help with fever, my friends used a cold compress on their heads while soaked in a hot bath to avoid hyperthermia. External cooling, as they say, lowers the skin temperature to a greater extent lowering core temperature and to address shivering, they are soaked in a hot bath. 5. Chills and Body Aches
a. Hot bath Thermotherapy is another scientific and proven since ancient times helping with chills and as relief of body pain (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4225921/).
